Experienced Mechanic
Location: Roseville, CA
Essential Functions:
- Assembling and installing machines then testing them to make sure they are working correctly.
- Identifying and repairing problematic parts of a machine by running tests, making temporary repairs, or installing new parts.
- Dismantling older machines and replacing them with new ones.
- Overseeing preventive maintenance by identifying and correcting potential issues, removing worn out pieces and lubricating mechanical parts.
- Using machinery or equipment, such as forklifts, to move mechanical parts.
- Performing routine maintenance functions and adjustments on all types of forklifts and trailing equipment in compliance with the manufacturers and company schedules.
- Repairing or rebuilding all or part of equipment systems.
- Performing safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documentation.
- Accessing any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance (including inspecting and performing work in, on or under parts of vehicles and trailers).
- Managing the layout and placement of equipment and machinery in factory settings to ensure minimum downtime.
- Safely walking & standing for extended periods of time on various surfaces that may be uneven or slippery (including working outdoors in inclement weather).
- Lifting objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights (up to 50 lbs. frequently and greater than 75 lbs. occasionally).
- Safely walking, reaching (including above your head), bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, twisting, squatting & kneeling as necessary to perform the job duties.
- Ensuring shop cleanliness, safety, and compliance.
- Applying knowledge and work in accordance with DOT, Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Interstate Authority, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and other rules and regulations as required.
- Following Erickson Logistics policy and procedures in making all repairs.
- Working in full compliance with the approved safety regulations.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
- Prompt daily attendance at assigned work location.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum of 3 years hands-on fleet mechanical experience.
- Proficient computer skills (MS Office).
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Desire to continue formal education.
- Desire to have a career path in Fleet and/or Maintenance Management.
- Basic welding skills desired (such as Oxy/Acetylene, MIG, and ARC).

Shift: 7:00am- 3:30pm
Rate: $21hr.
